Using wonderful Italian beef sausages, this dish puts a time saving spin on the classic spaghetti and meatballs to create a time saving 20 minute meal the whole family will enjoy.

4x 100g Australia beef sausages
200g orzo pasta
3 sprigs basil
1 x 400g tin Italian tomatoes
1/4 cup shaved parmesan
Bring a pot of salted water to a rapid boil. Add orzo, stir and cook for 8 minutes. Check it is al dente before draining. Once drained, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Prepare sausages & basil
Cut sausages into thirds. Remove casing from each piece. Remove basil leaves and discard stem.
Cook sausages & sauce
Bring a fry pan to medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Cook sausage pieces for 2 – 3 minutes on each side to brown. Add the tinned tomatoes to the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce to a simmer for 4 - 5 minutes. Shake pan occasionally. Remove from heat and stir through torn basil leaves.
Spoon orzo into bowls. Top with sauce and sausage. Finish with parmesan cheese.
